Kgaotsang is a Partner and Co-Founder of MORIBAME MATTHEWS. She graduated from the University of Botswana with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 2001.
She started her legal career as a State Attorney at the Attorney General’s Chambers in the Civil Litigation Department primarily doing Civil Litigation work and acting for and on behalf of the Government of Botswana in civil litigation matters. She then moved to private practice where she gained a solid foundation of Property transactions as well as Corporate/Commercial transactions, regulatory and compliance work. She now heads the Conveyancing / Property department at Moribame Matthews where her primary responsibilities include the preparation, examination and registration of all documents and transaction regarding transfers of property and notarial work, advising on all property related issues, advising on structuring of property related transactions, drafting agreements relating to property finance transaction, attending to the preparation, advice, execution and registration of transfers, mortgages, notarial documents, debt instruments, charges and other security instruments in favour of the Bank at the Deeds office, as well as the cancellation of registered documents, and Opening various sectional titles schemes and registering subdivisions of properties.
Kgaotsang is a citizen of Botswana, and 44 years of age. Over and above her duties as a Partner the Law Firm, Kgaotsang is involved in social responsibility charity work as a Trustee of the Botswana Book Centre. She is currently a Board Member of Okavango Diamond Company, a Council Member of Northside School, the Secretary General of Botswana Swimming Sport Association and member of the Strategy and Compliance Committee of the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC).

Keneilwe has over 20 years professional experience as a private Legal Practitioner. She has a strong background in Corporate Law, Regulatory matters, Labour law, Commercial Civil Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
She is one of the founding partners of Moribame Matthews (in Collaboration with Andersen Global) a successful boutique law firm established over 15 years ago in Botswana. The practice has seen exponential growth over the last few years and provides general legal services and legal services in other areas including mining, banking and finance, transactional advisory services, regulatory and compliance, real estate, competition law, labour law and infrastructure development to mention but a few.
Keneilwe started her career at Collins Newman & Co. in 2001 as a pupil attorney and rose to the rank of Senior Associate by the time she left to set up Moribame Matthews in 2007, having had an opportunity to intern in the UK for a London based law firm for a few months. She advises clients on corporate structures, insolvency matters, restructurings, M&A where she provides legal due diligence services, pre-acquisition, and post-acquisition review. Keneilwe advises private companies on commercial terms, negotiation of contracts, drafting and review of agreements, commercial risk, and governance. She provides legal services on regulatory, compliance and legislative matters and makes presentations to management and boards on changes in legislation and emerging trends in the law that have an impact on business continuity and overall risk. Keneilwe sits on boards of both public and private companies and is passionate about youth and women empowerment in areas of business where they are traditionally under represented. Angeline is a holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LLB)(Honors) obtained from the University of Zimbabwe and a postgraduate Certificate in Long Term Insurance (Cop) obtained from Botswana Accountancy College.
Angeline is a Senior Associate at Moribame Matthews. She is a well-rounded Attorney capable to adapting and conquering various legal matters. Angeline conducts litigation before the Court of Appeal, High Court, Industrial Court and Land Tribunal.
In 2009, Angeline practiced at the Attorney General Office in Zimbabwe under the Legal Advice Division. Her duties included rendering advice to several government departments and parastatals, vetting agreements as well as negotiating and drafting agreements on behalf of public institutions.
Upon her relocation to Botswana, Angeline worked as a Corporate Counsel for a local environment and sanitation services company. There she gained exposure to drafting commercial agreements, tender processes and corporate governance.
In 2016, she joined Motsumi Attorneys as an Associate Attorney, a position she held until August 2022, when she left to join Moribame Matthews.
Her experience provides her with the necessary skill set and confidence to tackle:
Property law- in which she has prepared and administered diverse range of property developments, such as residential, commercial and farming estates;
Commercial law- preparation and administration of various agreements for clients involved in various industries including professional services;
Family law-she has presided over matters involving Law of Succession, in which she has prepared and administered Wills on behalf of clients as well as representing clients in the administration of deceased person’s Estate; and
Employment Law- preparation and administration of various employment contracts as well as representing clients in any labour law related matters.
Angeline is a member of the Law Society of Botswana since 2017.

Palesa is an up-and-coming young Junior Associate who was admitted to practice in December 2021. Palesa is a citizen of Botswana. As a Junior Attorney, Palesa assists in all areas of the law to gain experience, which has served her well and provided her with a depth of experience necessary to be of value to the team. Palesa in her short period with the firm has proven to be highly analytical, astute in contract negotiation and an excellent team member. Palesa also holds a Certificate in Business Risk Management from the University of Cape Town and is working towards obtaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Taxation with the Botswana Accountancy College.
She has worked on various matters in corporate, commercial, insurance, civil litigation, banking, finance, contract law and delictual claims among others. Palesa is also involved in transfer of assets generally, administration of estates, trusts and wills as well as other property related issues.
In her role as a Junior Associate, she aspires to ensure that she serves clients with high quality and pragmatic legal services while gaining knowledge and expertise in vast areas of the law. She undertakes to do this responsibly and diligently and ethically. Generally, Palesa is committed to becoming the best version of herself as an attorney and through the quality of her service to contribute to altering the vision that the world has on women in professional spaces generally and especially in the legal field.
